What is an Overflow Carousel?

A carousel or carousel slider is a series of content elements which extend horizontally past the width of the browser and allow the viewer to navigate through those elements within the component. There may be an automatic animation which changes the slides, but there must also be either a scrollbar and/or buttons which allow the viewer to scroll at will.

This overflow carousel is intended to show more than one slide within the carousel when on large screen sizes. This creates the sense of overflow which visually invites the visitor to see what is partially hidden. On the smallest size screen, only one slide is visible at a time, rendering it more similar to a regular carousel slider. The buttons are also larger on a small screen so that the fingerprint trigger area is easier to hit.
