Photography
Photography representing Georgia Tech should seek to convey these central concepts:
- Thought Leadership
- Collaboration
- Inventiveness and Industriousness
- Real-World Impact
Portraits
Portraits typically feature the subject facing the camera with confidence and self-awareness. The subject may be pictured in a situation familiar to them, such as their lab or classroom.

Research
Photographs of research subjects tell a story about the work being done. They typically show the subject or subjects engaging in the research in some way. Georgia Tech's research photography is colorful and high-contrast.

Campus
Images of campus should include people. Compositions are made dynamic through high vantage points, wide angles, and attention to framing and use of angles and lines to lead the eyes of the viewer.

Students
Photographs of students should represent the diverse student body of Georgia Tech with an emphasis on collaboration, quality of life, and ingenuity.

Athletics
Photos of athletics focus on the action and movement of the athletes. Subjects should appear to move toward the viewer, upward, or across the image. Subjects should not appear to move away from the viewer.
